Jammu: The Border Security Force (BSF) on Friday said that Pakistan has relocated nearly 72 terror launchpads further inside its territory in the aftermath of India’s Operation Sindoor, which dismantled several forward‑positioned facilities near the border. The security move is seen as a response to India’s intensified counter‑terror efforts along the western frontier.

Senior BSF officials stated that these launchpads, previously established closer to the border fence, were targeted and destroyed during coordinated Indian operations. The shift in their positioning indicates an attempt by Pakistan‑based groups to avoid further strikes while continuing to support infiltration activities.

According to the BSF, many of the relocated facilities are now situated in Sialkot, Zaffarwal and other deeper interior areas of Pakistan‑occupied zones. Officials said that the number of militants stationed at these sites keeps fluctuating, depending on the activities and movement patterns monitored by Indian forces.

They further explained that when these launchpads become active, intelligence agencies observe increased training and logistical arrangements — a sign that militants may be prepared for future infiltration attempts toward different sectors along the border.

BSF Prepared for Any Directive

The force asserted that it remains equipped and fully prepared to undertake any future actions if directed by the Government of India. Officials highlighted that continuous surveillance, advanced border technology and coordinated intelligence efforts are strengthening India’s defence along the Line of Control and international border.

They added that India will continue to counter terror threats emanating from across the border while ensuring the security of civilian populations in forward areas.

Pakistan Army Reacts

In response to recent comments by the Indian Army Chief on cross‑border terrorism, Pakistan Army spokesperson Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry issued a sharp rebuttal, calling the remarks “delusional”. He denied the presence or operation of terror structures within Pakistani territory.

Indian officials maintain that credible intelligence and ground evidence have consistently shown Pakistan’s active role in providing training and logistical safe havens for terrorist groups attempting infiltration into Jammu and Kashmir.

Increased Security Vigil Along the Border

Indian security agencies have heightened alertness along vulnerable points, including areas prone to underground tunnel infiltration and drone‑based smuggling. Patrols have been intensified, and anti‑infiltration grids are continuously enhanced to block any attempted intrusions.

Officials note that relocating launchpads deeper inside Pakistani territory does not diminish the threat but delays movement toward the border, giving Indian forces greater time to detect and respond.

As tensions remain sensitive along the frontier, security forces reaffirmed that operational readiness and strong deterrence measures remain a priority to safeguard India’s territorial integrity.
