JAIPUR: In a major push to empower the state’s youth, Rajasthan Chief Secretary V. Srinivas has directed all government departments to seamlessly integrate their youth-centric welfare schemes, skill development programs, and employment opportunities with the central MY Bharat portal (mybharat.gov.in).
Chairing a high-level review meeting at the Government Secretariat on Wednesday, the Chief Secretary emphasized that the integration directly aligns with Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma’s vision to provide every young citizen with frictionless access to government benefits.
Developed in collaboration with the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, the MY Bharat portal is being rapidly scaled to serve as a comprehensive “single-window platform” for the state’s youth, centralizing opportunities across education, volunteering, sports, and innovation.
Accelerating Registrations and Campus Initiatives
During the comprehensive review, CS Srinivas scrutinized the ongoing youth registration campaigns, district-level performance metrics, and special enrollment drives being conducted across schools and universities.
To accelerate grassroots participation, he issued strict directives for the rapid appointment of MY Bharat Campus Ambassadors and departmental nodal officers, alongside the immediate formation of district-level monitoring committees.
“Departmental coordination must be fortified to make this portal the primary stage for all state government youth initiatives. We must ensure that every young person in the state can connect with these opportunities to actively participate in building a Viksit Rajasthan and a Viksit Bharat,” Srinivas instructed the officials.
Driving Engagement Through Innovative Programs
Providing an update on ongoing initiatives, Additional Chief Secretary (Youth Affairs and Sports) Praveen Gupta highlighted the state’s success in driving youth engagement through a series of innovative programs. These include the Drug-Free Youth campaign, Fit Rajasthan, sports volunteering, the Vibrant Village Program, Experiential Learning Programs (ELP), and dedicated elderly service initiatives.
Furthermore, MY Bharat State Director Devendra Vyas presented a detailed roadmap for a dedicated ‘Rajasthan Specific Chapter’. His presentation outlined the deployment of specialized digital resources, including feedback systems, idea boxes for young innovators, and the structural integration of state departmental resources into the national portal.
The high-level strategic meeting was attended by top state bureaucrats, including ACS (Skill, Employment & Entrepreneurship) Sandeep Verma, ACS (Higher & Technical Education) Kuldeep Ranka, and senior officials from the School Education, Social Justice, Medical Education, Women and Child Development, Agriculture, and Panchayati Raj departments, as well as representatives from the Rajasthan Youth Board and National Service Scheme (NSS).
