Nagaur: Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma conducted a comprehensive morning tour of Tilanesh village in Nagaur district on Saturday, interacting with farmers and announcing key infrastructure projects to boost rural development. Following an overnight stay in the village, the Chief Minister focused his visit on agricultural assessments, community dialogue, and local administrative feedback.
Visiting the agricultural fields early in the morning, the Chief Minister assessed crop conditions, irrigation facilities, and input costs. He actively participated in weeding activities alongside local farmers, gaining firsthand insight into their daily challenges.
During these interactions, he encouraged the agricultural community to adopt advanced farming techniques and transition toward natural farming methods. He also gathered direct feedback on the implementation of state and central government farmer-welfare schemes.
Engaging with Rural Residents
Continuing his tour on foot, the Chief Minister walked through the village lanes to meet residents directly. He discussed health, nutrition, and livelihood initiatives with women, placing a special focus on the state’s Rajeevika program.
With the local youth, the conversation centered on education, skill development, and upcoming employment opportunities. He also verified that senior citizens were receiving their social security pensions without administrative delays.
Interacting with children, he distributed chocolates and inquired about their educational aspirations, a gesture that was met with enthusiasm by the villagers.
New Development Initiatives
During a community discussion over tea at the village square, Sharma announced several targeted development initiatives for Tilanesh. These included the establishment of a new library and an Atal Gyan Kendra to support local education.
To improve connectivity, he sanctioned Rs 1.18 crore for the construction of an asphalt road linking Ramsari village to the Jobner-Butati State Highway. Additionally, he ordered the beautification and restoration of the local Shivsagar Lake, immediately directing officials to resolve waterlogging issues raised by the residents.
Promoting Environmental Conservation
Under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign, the Chief Minister planted a sapling on the banks of Shivsagar Lake. He appealed to every family in the village to plant and protect at least one tree to promote environmental conservation, later offering prayers at the Shri Charbhuja Nath Ji and Veer Teja Ji temples.
“The holistic development of our villages, the prosperity of our farmers, women’s empowerment, and opportunities for the youth remain the government’s highest priorities,” Sharma stated, reinforcing the administration’s goal to connect rural areas to mainstream development.
The event was attended by Public Health and Engineering Minister Kanhaiyalal Choudhary, Devnarayan Board Chairman Omprakash Bhadana, local Members of the Legislative Assembly, and administrative officials.
