Ahmedabad: Adani Defence Systems & Technologies Ltd (ADSTL), in partnership with Prime Aero Services LLP, has signed agreements to take a majority stake in Flight Simulation Technique Centre Pvt Ltd (FSTC), India’s largest independent provider of flight training and simulation services. The transaction values FSTC at ₹820 crore, the company announced on Thursday.

FSTC operates 11 advanced full-flight simulators and a fleet of 17 training aircraft, offering end-to-end pilot training solutions, including commercial pilot licensing, type ratings, recurrent training and specialised skill development courses.

The company is certified by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). Its major simulation facilities in Gurugram and Hyderabad are equipped for future expansion, while it also runs large flying schools located in Bhiwani and Narnaul in Haryana.

With India’s defence pilot training infrastructure growing rapidly and simulator-based training becoming increasingly critical to cost-efficient and safer aviation, FSTC has outlined ambitious plans to scale its operations across defence and civil sectors.

“This acquisition is the next step in our strategy to build a fully integrated aviation services platform,” said Ashish Rajvanshi, CEO of Adani Defence & Aerospace. “With FSTC joining Air Works and Indamer Technics, we are positioned to serve customers across civil MRO, general aviation MRO, defence MRO and full-stack flight training.”

Rajvanshi added that the projected induction of over 1,500 aircraft by Indian airlines will significantly increase the demand for certified pilots. Coupled with the government’s focus on advanced simulator training for armed forces, this creates substantial opportunities in defence aviation. “We aim to support the next generation of Indian defence pilots as part of our commitment to national security,” he said.

ADSTL is a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises Ltd (AEL). Horizon Aero Solutions Ltd — a joint venture between ADSTL and Prime Aero Services LLP — acts as a step-down subsidiary of AEL.

Adani Defence & Aerospace said the acquisition strengthens its defence capabilities and complements its ecosystem of start-ups and MSMEs focused on export-oriented innovation and high-quality manufacturing.
