Jaipur: Springfield School, Mansarovar celebrated its annual function with a vibrant cultural programme at Birla Auditorium. Associate Director Shreya Jain Rose informed that around 800 students from junior and senior classes participated in the event. This year’s theme “Rag, Rang and Rajasthan” showcased the rich cultural heritage, history and folk traditions of Rajasthan through dance and theatrical performances.
The morning session for junior students was inaugurated by Shri Kalicharan Saraf ji, while the evening senior session commenced with the lighting of the lamp by Kunwarani Saheba Mrigesha Kumari ji. The Chief Guests extended their best wishes to all the students for a bright future. The programme was directed by Mr Naveen Sharma, founder of NSPA.
Students brought alive inspiring historical and cultural figures of Rajasthan like Gulabo ji , Amritadevi, Panna Dhai and Hada Rani—through powerful performances that deeply moved the audience. The event also featured captivating presentations of Rajasthan’s famous folk dances: Kalbelia, Chari, Manjira, Ghoomar and Kathputli. Traditional instruments such as the nagara, dholak, sarangi and algoza filled the auditorium with energy and enthusiasm.
Principal Keith Rose presented the school’s Annual Report and, along with the chief guests, felicitated the meritorious students for excellence in academics and sports. The celebration concluded with a grand fashion show, where students showcased traditional Rajasthani attire—ghaghra–odhni, bandhej dhoti–kurta and safa—leaving the audience mesmerized. Colourful costumes, folk music and dazzling lights created a festive atmosphere, while continuous applause boosted the confidence of the young performers.
