ALWAR: A delegation representing the Valmiki community paid a courtesy visit to Rajasthan’s Minister of State for Forests (Independent Charge), Sanjay Sharma, at the Alwar Circuit House on Sunday. The delegation strongly advocated for the immediate completion of the pending Safai Karamchari (sanitation worker) recruitment process in the Municipal Corporation.
During the meeting, the delegation apprised the minister that the prolonged delay in the recruitment drive has deprived numerous eligible candidates of employment opportunities. They urged the minister to expedite the process and issue appointment letters to qualified applicants at the earliest.
Government Committed to Employment Generation
Taking the delegation’s concerns seriously, Minister Sharma reiterated the state government’s commitment to providing employment to the youth. He assured the representatives that the pending sanitation worker recruitment in the Municipal Corporation would be resolved swiftly.
The minister informed the delegation that strict instructions have already been issued to the concerned Municipal Corporation officials to remove any bureaucratic hurdles and complete the recruitment process without further delay.
Sharma also noted that Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, and Alwar MP, Bhupender Yadav, is equally concerned about the issue and is personally monitoring the situation. He expressed confidence that all necessary administrative formalities will be completed soon, bringing much-needed relief to the eligible candidates. The delegation expressed their gratitude to the minister for his positive assurance.
‘Hariyalo Rajasthan’: A Push for Environmental Conservation
Following the meeting, Minister Sharma fulfilled his daily pledge of planting trees by planting a sapling at the Sri Guru Nanak Vatika, sending a strong message regarding environmental conservation.
Addressing the gathering, the Forest Minister highlighted the state government’s ambitious Hariyalo Rajasthan campaign, which aims to vastly increase the state’s green cover. He appealed to every citizen to actively participate in the ongoing plantation drives and fulfill their moral responsibility toward environmental protection.
