Jaipur: Rajasthan is preparing to welcome its global diaspora as the state hosts Pravasi Rajasthani Divas 2025 on December 10 in Jaipur. The prestigious annual event is designed to strengthen engagement with Non-Resident Rajasthanis (NRRs) worldwide and highlight their contributions to the state’s economic, cultural and social growth.
The gathering will feature participation by several senior dignitaries and policymakers, including Rajasthan Governor Haribhau K. Bagade, Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria, Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, and Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, who will deliver the keynote address outlining the state government’s vision for global partnerships.
Focus on Investment and Development
The programme will open with the inauguration of ‘Pragati Path’ — a curated exhibition showcasing Rajasthan’s development milestones and future growth agenda. Industries and Commerce Minister Col. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore will present the welcome address, reaffirming the vital role of the diaspora in driving the state’s progress.
One of the biggest highlights of the event will be the unveiling and ground-breaking of investment projects worth ₹1 lakh crore. This milestone will push the cumulative total of grounded projects to nearly ₹8 lakh crore in just one year since the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit 2024, signaling strong investor confidence and accelerating economic momentum in the state.
The government will also release a special publication titled “Commitment in Action” — featuring major MoUs and successful implementation of industrial and infrastructure projects initiated last year.
Corporate leaders and global industry representatives will take part in discussions on Rajasthan’s business environment, ongoing reforms, and emerging opportunities across key sectors.
Honouring Global Achievers
Pravasi Rajasthani Samman awards will be presented to distinguished individuals from across the world for their exceptional achievements and contributions to Rajasthan’s global identity. The awards aim to recognize excellence in fields such as entrepreneurship, technology, arts, academia and community service.
Policy Dialogue and Sector Focus
The afternoon session will house an Open House interaction where NRRs can directly engage with government officials and business leadership, addressing queries and exploring collaboration prospects.
Seven thematic sessions will be held on priority sectors including:
- Renewable Energy
- Tourism and Hospitality
- Healthcare and Life Sciences
- Education and Skill Development
- Water Management
- Mining and Minerals
- Manufacturing and Industry
These discussions will focus on investment potential, innovation partnerships and sustainable development aligned with Rajasthan’s long-term growth strategy.
Celebrating Rajasthan’s Cultural Global Identity
The day will conclude with a grand cultural programme showcasing traditional performances such as Ghoomar and Kalbelia, along with a fusion musical evening featuring acclaimed artists. The cultural showcase aims to celebrate the heritage and global influence of Rajasthan’s vibrant arts and traditions.
As Jaipur readies to host participants from across continents, Pravasi Rajasthani Divas 2025 promises to play a key role in deepening economic linkages, enhancing diaspora partnerships and positioning Rajasthan as a rising hub for global investment.
