Prabhas and Triptii Dimri’s film Spirit begins its shoot with a traditional pooja ceremony in Hyderabad.

Hyderabad: Filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s highly anticipated project Spirit, headlined by Prabhas and Triptii Dimri, officially went on floors on Sunday with a ceremonial pooja in Hyderabad.

The launch event saw the presence of several celebrities, including megastar Chiranjeevi, who attended as the special guest. Bhadrakali Pictures, Vanga’s production house, shared images from the ceremony on X, writing: “India’s biggest superstar #Prabhas’s SPIRIT has been launched with Megastar @KChiruTweets garu as the special guest.”

Expressing gratitude, Vanga posted a message for Chiranjeevi on X: “Heartfelt thank you to our MEGASTAR CHIRANJEEVI sir for blessing the event with his presence. Sir… your gesture is unforgettable — we all love you.”

The director also released photos taken at the ceremony but refrained from posting any images showing Prabhas’s appearance, keeping the actor’s look under wraps. On Instagram, Vanga shared a close-up photo of Prabhas holding the film’s clapboard, writing, “Dear fans… I thought PRABHAS anna’s hands were enough to excite you all… So, on this muhurath day, I’m posting this for you — with gratitude and love. SPIRIT.”

The film has generated substantial buzz among fans and cinephiles. Alongside Prabhas and Triptii Dimri, the cast includes Prakash Raj and Vivek Oberoi in key roles.

Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Pranay Reddy Vanga, Spirit features music by Harshavardhan Rameshwar. Supreme Sundar will handle stunt choreography, while production design will be led by Suresh Selvarajan.

It is worth noting that Deepika Padukone was initially considered for the female lead but was replaced by Triptii Dimri following reported disagreements over remuneration and working hours.
