Kapasan: A series of major development projects were launched in Kapasan municipality on Monday, as local MLA Arjunlal Jinnagar laid foundation stones and inaugurated new facilities aimed at strengthening civic services and public infrastructure. The events coincided with his birthday, turning the day into a blend of governance, community outreach, and celebration.

Jinnagar, accompanied by local leaders, BJP office bearers, and enthusiastic party workers, commenced the programme by unveiling projects amounting to crores of rupees. Among the key initiatives was the foundation stone for the Sanwaliyaji Welcome Gate on the highway — a significant entry landmark intended to enhance Kapasan’s identity and prominence for pilgrims and visitors.

He also inaugurated newly developed public spaces, including a modern circle constructed at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Park and another at Chhatrapati Shivaji Chowk. These beautification and infrastructure enhancements are aimed at improving urban aesthetics and easing local traffic movement.

Healthcare facilities in the region received a substantial boost as well, with the inauguration of a digital X-ray machine, a new ambulance, and a laboratory building at the Kapasan Sub-District Health Centre. Officials expressed confidence that the upgraded medical services would significantly benefit residents, ensuring faster diagnostics and improved access to emergency care.

Throughout the day, BJP leaders acknowledged that these development works reflect ongoing efforts to accelerate regional growth and improve basic facilities within the constituency.

Alongside official engagements, MLA Jinnagar visited prominent religious locations across Kapasan to offer prayers for the prosperity of the region and the well-being of its people. At several stops, supporters showered him with floral greetings and extended heartfelt wishes.

Traditional Mewari hospitality was on full display — supporters welcomed him with garlands, shawls, and Mewari pagris, while religious ceremonies and colorful fireworks created a festive atmosphere.

To mark the occasion, a Kabaddi competition at the constituency level and a vibrant Swadeshi fair were organized at the SR Vatika premises in Kapasan. The sporting and cultural activities saw enthusiastic participation from youth and community members, reinforcing themes of fitness, local pride, and self-reliance.
