KOTA: Reinforcing the state government’s focus on rural education infrastructure, Education and Panchayati Raj Minister Madan Dilawar inaugurated newly constructed facilities at the Government Senior Secondary Schools in Bandha and Dharmpura on Saturday. The structural upgrades, completed under the Samagra Shiksha Yojana, fall under the Ramganjmandi assembly constituency in Kota district.
At the Government Senior Secondary School in Bandha, a new science laboratory, a dedicated library, and two additional classrooms for class 11 and 12 students were developed at an estimated cost of ₹49 lakh. Similarly, the Government Senior Secondary School in Dharmpura received a new science lab, library, and a modern computer room, constructed with an investment of ₹38 lakh. These additions are designed to foster a highly competitive and enriching academic environment for rural students.
“Rural Students Can Create History Given the Right Opportunities”
Addressing the inauguration gatherings, Minister Dilawar emphasized that children are the architects of the nation’s future, placing the highest moral responsibility on teachers to shape their lives. He appealed to educators to mentor students with the same dedication they have for their own children, urging them to conduct extra classes whenever necessary to ensure no student falls behind.
“Despite limited resources, students from rural areas are achieving outstanding results through sheer hard work and perseverance,” Dilawar stated. Highlighting that this year’s state board topper hails from a rural background, he reinforced that a lack of resources is never a permanent barrier to success for determined individuals.
Focus on Sports and Environmental Conservation
Beyond academic excellence, the Education Minister strongly advocated for the regular integration of sports activities into the daily school curriculum. He noted that sports not only aid in physical, mental, and holistic personality development but have also emerged as a highly viable and successful mainstream career path for today’s youth.
As part of the event, Minister Dilawar planted saplings on the school premises, delivering a strong message on environmental conservation and urging the community to plant and protect trees. The program concluded with a special felicitation ceremony honoring students who delivered exceptional performances in academics and sports, alongside recognizing the generous local donors who contributed to the schools’ ongoing development.
