JAIPUR: Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma visited the Police Headquarters on Saturday to review the operations of the Rajasthan Cyber Crime Control Centre (R4C) and its dedicated 1930 helpline. Taking a tough stance against the rising menace of digital fraud, the Chief Minister issued strict directives to tighten the noose around cybercriminals, emphasizing that their illegally acquired properties must be targeted and confiscated.

During the high-level review, CM Sharma ordered law enforcement to take equally stern action against individuals who rent or provide their bank accounts to cyber fraudsters (money mules). He directed the police to establish effective coordination with banking institutions to ensure the immediate blocking of fraudulent bank accounts using modern technology and data analytics.

Real-Time Monitoring and Victim Interaction

While inspecting the 1930 helpline, the Chief Minister directly interacted with Bhairaram, a complainant from Barmer, who was defrauded in an Instagram follower scam. The CM closely observed the entire operational lifecycle—from the moment the complaint was registered on the helpline to the subsequent coordination with the local police station and the respective bank.

Reviewing the live dashboard and tracking system of the Cyber Crime Control Centre, CM Sharma reiterated the state government’s continuous efforts to prevent digital fraud. To further bolster these capabilities, he instructed the administration to allocate a new, dedicated building for the R4C.

Helpline Upgrades and Special Operations

Police officials briefed the Chief Minister that the 1930 helpline is currently registering and initiating advance action on approximately 95% of complaints within the stipulated timeframe. The call center’s capacity has recently been expanded from 30 to 53 operational lines, running across three shifts. Officials confirmed that the facility will soon be upgraded to 60 lines to ensure every victim’s complaint is heard promptly.

Recent data indicates a significant increase in the call response rate and the percentage of saved funds. Over 412 e-Zero FIRs have been registered specifically for cyber frauds exceeding ₹5 lakh. Furthermore, the Home Ministry has selected 54 police personnel from Rajasthan for specialized digital security and research training in 2026.

To dismantle cyber syndicates, Rajasthan Police is currently executing massive state-wide campaigns, including Operation Vajra Prahar, Operation Cyber Shield, Operation Anti-Virus, and Operation Mule Hunter. These targeted operations have led to large-scale arrests, rapid victim refunds, and the mass blocking of illicit SIM cards and IMEI numbers.

₹100 Crore Budget Allocation and Upcoming SLBC Meeting

To ensure seamless coordination between law enforcement and the banking sector, a Special State Level Bankers Committee (SLBC) meeting has been convened on July 21 under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary V. Srinivas.

In the 2026-27 state budget, CM Sharma’s government allocated a robust ₹100 crore provision to establish the R4C and develop an advanced, AI-enabled 1930 cyber crime helpline call center, a process that is currently being fast-tracked.

Concluding his visit, the Chief Minister appealed to the public to report any cyber fraud immediately to the 1930 helpline, stressing that acting within the “golden hours” is crucial for freezing stolen funds. The review meeting was attended by Chief Secretary V. Srinivas, Director General of Police (DGP) Rajeev Kumar Sharma, and senior officials from the Chief Minister’s Office, Home Department, and Police Headquarters.
