ALWAR: Union Minister for Environment, Forest, and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav, alongside Rajasthan’s Minister of State for Forests (Independent Charge) Sanjay Sharma, participated in the sacred ‘Chaturmas Mangal Pravesh’ program held at a Jain temple in Alwar on Sunday.

During the spiritual event, the ministers paid their respects to the revered Jain Muni Soumya Sagar Ji Maharaj and his sangh. They presented a Shriphal (sacred coconut) to the Muni and sought his blessings for the peace, prosperity, social harmony, and overall public welfare of the state and the nation.

“Jain Saints Inspire the Path of Truth and Non-Violence”

Addressing the gathered devotees, Union Minister Bhupender Yadav highlighted that the holy period of Chaturmas is a vital pillar of Indian culture and its spiritual tradition. He noted that the four-month period delivers a profound message of self-reflection, restraint, spiritual practice, and self-purification.

“The penance, sacrifice, and highly disciplined life of Jain saints inspire society to walk the path of truth, non-violence, compassion, and virtue,” Yadav stated. He urged citizens to assimilate these ideals to help build a more sensitive, cultured, and harmonious society.

Strengthening Moral Values Through Spiritual Discourses

Echoing these sentiments, Minister of State Sanjay Sharma remarked that being in the presence of saints provides a positive and constructive direction to human life. He emphasized that the various religious discourses, spiritual practices, and service-oriented programs organized throughout Chaturmas play a crucial role in strengthening the moral fabric of society, inspiring people toward self-discipline and mutual brotherhood.

The spiritually enriching event witnessed a massive turnout, with a large number of devotees, distinguished citizens, and prominent officials of the Jain community in attendance.
