Mumbai, Nov 28 — The teaser of Oslo: A Tail of Promise was unveiled on Thursday at the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, offering viewers the same emotion and tenderness that moved audiences at its festival screening.
Featuring John Abraham, the film highlights the special connection between animals and humans. Reacting to the response to the teaser, Abraham said the brief glimpse is meant to reflect the emotional truth of its story. “The teaser is only a window, but even in those few moments, people can feel Oslo’s presence and Pooja’s truth. That is all I hoped for,” he shared. “This film asks us to pause, to listen, and to see life through another being’s eyes.”
The non-fiction feature, produced and presented by Abraham, explores the deep relationship between Siberian husky Oslo and Pooja R. Bhale, founder of the Protecterra Ecological Foundation. Directed by Isha Pungaliya, the film reflects on how animals help guide and heal humans at times when the world feels especially divided.
Pungaliya said that watching viewers connect instantly with the story has been “incredibly moving.” She noted, “Animals remind us who we can be at our best. Oslo carries that reminder in every frame.”
The film’s emotional centre is built around Pooja’s bond with Oslo. Speaking about the moment, she recalled how he transformed her life. “Oslo came into my life as a traumatised dog looking for a home, and he became my teacher. He taught me to surrender, to accept, to love without fear. This film is his legacy,” she said.
With animal welfare increasingly in the national spotlight, Oslo: A Tail of Promise arrives as a timely reminder of the responsibility humans share toward the voiceless companions who offer unconditional loyalty. The film is produced by JA Entertainment and Vaanar Nirmit.
