Bansur: Development efforts in the Bansur region received a major boost on Saturday as the foundation stone was laid for a ₹21 crore road project in Kothiya. The initiative forms a key component of a broader ₹54 crore road development strategy that positions Chatarpura as the central node for improved connectivity in the area.

The project falls under the Chief Minister’s Budget Announcement 2025–26, and aims to provide infrastructure support for economic enhancement across rural stretches. The upgraded road will link State Highway 52 and State Highway 77 via Kothiya, Garhi, Aajabpura and Khariyon ki Dhani, covering a distance of 13 kilometres. Widening and beautification work will enhance both safety and road quality along the route.

Local residents welcomed Bansur MLA Devisingh Shekhawat during the ceremony, which witnessed strong participation from villagers and public representatives.

Addressing the gathering, Shekhawat said that the rollout of well connected road networks is critical for accelerating development in remote pockets of the constituency. He emphasized that easier travel and improved transportation access will help thousands of residents access essential facilities and services more efficiently.

According to the MLA, the road upgrade will serve more than a dozen villages, supporting agricultural mobility, trade, education access and emergency services. He said enhanced connectivity plays a pivotal role in reducing rural isolation and creating long term social and economic progress.

Shekhawat shared that development projects worth over ₹200 crore — covering infrastructure such as roads, drinking water, education and health — are currently underway in Bansur. He said the state government is committed to ensuring comprehensive growth and planned initiatives will position the region among the fast advancing areas of Rajasthan.

He also stated that new major projects are under active consideration for the upcoming state budget, to further reinforce Bansur’s development roadmap.

Villagers expressed their appreciation for the initiative and said the upgraded route was a long pending requirement that will ease travel, improve transportation of goods and connect them more effectively to nearby population centres.
