Ahmedabad: The Ahmedabad Flower Show, an annual attraction that enjoys acclaim across India and abroad, is gearing up for a grander, more vibrant edition in January 2026 at the scenic Sabarmati Riverfront, officials from the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) said on Friday.

The theme for the upcoming edition — “Bharat Ek Gatha” — will celebrate India’s rich and diverse cultural heritage through elaborate floral installations and creative horticultural artistry.

According to Jayesh Trivedi, Chairman of AMC’s Recreation, Heritage and Cultural Committee, this year’s installations will not only spotlight a rapidly developing India but will also include floral interpretations of aeronautics, windmills and solar panels, aligning with modern symbols of progress.

He noted that the Flower Show has secured several Guinness World Records over the past two years, and the Corporation aims to continue introducing innovative artworks in 2026.

Building on the immense popularity gained after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the exhibition last year, the 2026 edition will feature more than 170 floral sculptures, said Devang Dani, Chairman of AMC’s Standing Committee. Each piece is being crafted by skilled horticulturists and artists working round the clock to bring the theme to life.

The Ahmedabad Flower Show, now entering its 11th year, draws thousands of tourists annually and has become one of the city’s most anticipated cultural events. Apart from delighting visitors, it contributes significantly to local tourism and the economy.

With its striking displays, larger-than-ever installations and a theme rooted in national pride, the 2026 Flower Show promises a spectacular visual experience for visitors from across the country and beyond.
